Guests at the Miniature Railway

The Canberra Model Engineers Club invited CACMC to display at their open day on Sunday 15 March, at their impressive layout in Symonston, on the eastern fringe of Canberra. Club Members brought along a good representative selection of 21 fine vehicles, placed around the inside of the miniature railway tracks.

Vistors of all ages took an interest in the range of club vehicles on display

They were appreciated by a good crowd of family visitors, many with small children. The next generation of classic vehicle fans has begun.

Kids stand back! Club members Chris and Irene Berry, and Lee Gaynor and friend, were keen to enjoy the miniature train rides. Editor Helen Phillips records the fun.

Club members were offered free rides on the miniature trains. Most took up the offer with enthusiasm, regardless of the miniature seating!

Brian and Margaret Ely sail gracefully past their Triumph Spitfire. Jack Press’s FC Holden (bonnet up) also got a lot of attention.

More detail on this run in The Colonial, March 2020.
