We now have a Facebook Group called “Canberra Antique and Classic Motor Club – CACMC”. This is a private group that we have established for Club members only, where we can quickly post information about upcoming club events, local car shows in the area, place for sale advertisements for vehicles & parts, pictures of members vehicles, club runs & events, and any other relevant information.
This will also have the benefit of allowing us all to interact with each other more, through the ability for all members of the page to comment and correspond with others in the Club.
As it is a private group, where you can only be approved as a member after applying to join the group, the information published on this group will not be able to be seen by the general public.
If you do not currently use Facebook you can just set up a basic account with no pictures or information on it, apart from your name, and restrict access to a level that is comfortable for you. We have quite a few members who are only on Facebook so they can see what is happening with other car clubs that they are in, and do not use it for anything else at all.
If you are on Facebook and would like to join our Group page, you can do so by following these steps:
- Simply type in “Canberra Antique and Classic Motor Club” in the search section of Facebook and hit search.
- Then click on the CACMC private group as highlighted above.
- This will then take you to the group page where you will find just underneath the photo a blue “join” box. Click on this box and this will send a request to us to join the group.
- Once we have accepted your request you will then be able to access the page and will receive notices when we publish anything.
Please note: If you are using a Facebook page that isn’t in your membership name then you will need to let us know, otherwise we will not recognise you and therefore not approve you to join the group.
