Club run to Binalong Motor Museum.  Binalong is an historic off-highway village about 20 minutes past Yass toward Harden.  The Motor Museum includes a professional restoration workshop and some very interesting vehicles, picnic areas, BBQ (subject to fire restrictions).  Entrance $5 per head.  Art glass workshop.  Bushranger John Gilbert’s grave.  Restaurant/ Pub/Motel/Café are dining options. Meet at Barton Highway layby just after Hall Village at 9 am for 9.15 am departure.
 

Sunday 4 March


 Shannons Wheels at Queanbeyan Showgrounds.  Charity is Technical Aid for the Disabled (TADACT).  Gold coin donation for entry.  Queanbeyan Multicultural Festival will also be on at nearby Queanbeyan Town Park on Lowe Street.  All ACT and region car clubs invited. Drip trays required.   Volunteers needed for setup, marshals, clean-up.   See also pages   17-19 and 28-29.

Sculpture and Fine Dining Run.  The monthly run is to the renovated Sir George Hotel at Jugiong.  Meet at Hall layby at 9.00, depart 9.15 am for Bowning.  10 am visit the gardens and see the metal sculptures by a fabulous local artist, Bob Teasdale of ‘Flinders Forge Sculptures’ at Bowning.  Bob is a successful artist who makes and sells beautiful garden sculptures for reasonable prices.  See: www.yasstribune.com.au/story/3425102 teasdales-pelicans-win-big/ Travel on to Bowning and depart there 11.15 am by country roads for the Sir George Hotel at Jugiong for lunch at 12.30 pm.  A choice of dishes—set menu @ $40 per head. Canberra and Region Heritage Festival open day at Lanyon Homestead  10 am to 3 pm.  Set up from 8.30 am. In addition to the Homestead, there will be other attractions such as garden and outbuilding tours, a walk to the canoe tree, see the Fowler steam road loco in action plus stalls, classic cars and entertainment.  The Lanyon Café will be open plus a sausage sizzle and ice cream van.  Theme this year “My Culture, My Story”.
